Marilyn is a family therapist in Westlake Village, California, with twenty-three years of experience helping children, teenagers, and families. She the author of the recent book: Pills are not for Preschoolers: A Drug-free Approach for Troubled Kids (W.W. Norton) and numerous professional articles on child and family therapy.Her next book is forthcoming in 2015, on the topic of ADHD in America and abroad.
She has popular blogs on The Huffington Post and Psychology Today, and is a popular speaker at conferences and parent groups. Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Natural Health, Parenting, and Los Angeles Parent Magazine. Dr. Wedge has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and had a post-doctoral fellowship at the Hastings Center for Bioethics.
She lives near Los Angeles with her husband Gene. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, reading and spending time with her grandsons Theo and Henry.
