Bernadette is so excited for today’s show! She has been waiting for her Immunoflora shipment in the mail, she even ordered 5 more boxes! Jared Ramirez is here to talk about their new product! Mory Fontanez is on later in the half to discuss gender bias in corporate America!
Jared Ramirez is the CEO of Enviromedica, makers of Terraflora and a sponsor of One Life Radio. Enviromedica is a natural health and wellness company founded in 2007. Inspired by nature and ancestral health, they make premium foundational products to support whole body nutrition and help people achieve optimal health.
Jared decide to create immunoflora when they identified a need in the market for a natural supplement that supported both arms of the immune system, the innate and the adaptive immune systems. The innate immune system s your first line of response. It can also learn from what it has encounter and remember for how to respond to it next time. The adaptive immune system, also referred as the acquired immune system, is a subsystem of the immune system that is composed of specialized, systemic cells and processes that eliminates pathogens by preventing their growth. Most supplements on the market only hit certain parts of one immune system, instead of being broad spectrum. They also wanted to create something compatible for a large scale of people, so immunoflora was born!
A lot of people don’t understand probiotics, so having a great company like Enviromedica that is transparent and has your health in mind is amazing! Jared says to choose a supplement that’ll cover your bases broad spectrum. Immunoflora contains paraprobiotics, so heat killed. Immunoflora should be taken along side a live probiotic like Enviromedica’s own deep immune or women’s daily.

Gender Bias In Corporate America
We have been taught through story lines, media, and things we see and hear that leadership characteristics that we see are masculine. Because leadership is seen as masculine, still, even us women buy into the narrative that we must be as “strong” as men. Because of this unconscious bias, we allow ourselves to be held back in corporate America. Bernadette says that men seem to complain less. Mory suggests that men seem to maybe complain less because they don’t ask for permission from higher ups, but rather go ahead and assume leadership roles. Women feel they need to ask permission before changing something. We must talk about these things in order to clear them up in corporate America. We realize some of these topics can upset some people, but we must talk about these things!
It is important when we talk diversity and inclusion that we include the modern day woman in that conversation, too. Bernadette asks if corporations are doing better in equality for men and women. Mory says she is loving seeing the training that is being implemented. What she loves best is the open conversations with amazing facilitators to facilitate conversations that trigger questions for both men and women about their experience in the workplace. There is change happening! Let’s keep an open mind. Mory says to get to know yourself really well, and become in relationship with your strengths.
