Pt 4 –
Jason looked back at how he created success and found the principalities and four pillars that worked together. Today, we are covering “soulfulness.” Jason says adopt new skills and try new things every few years, but remember to keep your skills fresh. Don’t let them get rusty! Skill hunting is really adopting a work ethic. There’s lots of thoughts out in the world swirling around “life hacking,” but Jason advises against that. Find something you like, but really focus on it and get good at it. Don’t half ass two things, whole ass one thing! Skills and interests are not interchangeable! You can have an interest, but you have to work to make it a skill.
Become connected to something that is outside yourself. Extraordinary principals and integrity are key. Muhammed Ali stuck to his principals, and that is what made him the greatest of all time. You MUST stick to your own code of ethics. You must live by your own moral code. Jason Harris knew from a young age that he wanted to get into marketing. Jason started the “Safety Shake,” a contactless alternative to handshakes and fist bumps to help kids (and adults) calm their nerves in this new, contactless world. What a great idea for this new world we live in!
