Hi everyone! Today’s write-up is going to be a short one because it’s FURRY FRIDAY and I’m ready to get the weekend started. Maura Davies of the SPCA of North Texas tells us what we need for our new furry adopted friend, Robin Perry Braun discusses the law of entrainment and Cody Myler continues his discussion on race in the country from his Thursday night live facebook talk.
New Pet, Now What?
Maura says preparation is key. Here are some general rules thanks to the Humane Society of the United States:
- Gather supplies. Prepare the things your dog will need in advance. …
- Establish house rules. …
- Plan the arrival. …
- Prepare for housetraining. …
- Ensure all other pets are healthy. …
- Let the games begin.
Don’t forget to check out the spca.org website for their available pets. They are all hoping and wishing for their forever home, and it could be with you!
Law of Entrainment
Next Robin Perry Braun explains the Law of Entrainment. I’m going to be honest and say I didn’t understand. So, thank you to Frontiersie.org for their thorough explanation: Entrainment is defined by a temporal locking process in which one system’s motion or signal frequency entrains the frequency of another system. This process is a universal phenomenon that can be observed in physical (e.g., pendulum clocks) and biological systems (e.g., fire flies).
Musicians love entrainment because it’s all based on frequency. We can have negative or positive reactions from different frequencies.
Braun reminds us to always have intent when discussing any topic with another person. We should value each other and our opinions, even when they are different. Also, no one is a mind reader. We can’t ever assume that another person is feeling a certain way. Listen to other’s opinions and they should listen to yours.
The MF Fitness Podcast on race relations.
Cody Myler talks about his new podcast, The MF Fitness Podcast, designed for gym owners as a way to connect and share information.
Bernadette asks about his reaction to his facebook live interview last night with Jackie Robinson, Owner of Ra Roots Juices. He said nothing was left off the table discussing the state of America amid nationwide protesting. He agrees that listening is key.
Our One Life Radio producer, Renaldo Davis, joined the conversation saying that we should all be about the human race. It’s human rights, not white or black rights. We should be outraged for any injustice to anyone at the hands of the police, no matter their race. Go Renaldo!
