Von Eaglin and Zen Honeycutt

Happy Thursday!

Bernadette and team OLR are so excited for football season! The Oklahoma Sooners will be playing this season! One Life Radio says Boomer Sooner!

Zen Honeycutt

Zen Honeycutt is an activist, speaker, author, and the founder and director of Moms Across America, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate and empower mothers and others with actions and solutions to create healthy communities. While heading Moms Across America, Zen initiated the first testing for glyphosate in tap water, breast milk, and urine and spearheaded the non-profit’s successful petition to Costco to remove Roundup from their shelves. She is the author of “UNSTOPPABLE: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment And A Celebration of Community.”

Back To School Or Homeschool During COVID-19

Integrative Pediatric Summit is here! Go to Zen's website for a free online book. Zen is talking about homeopathic and western medicine combined to cure and aide in things like autism. Don't give up and be sure to explore all options. Bernadette is nervous about sending her high schooler back to school on Monday. The #1 thing you can do as a child or a parent of a child is to make sure their immune system is operating at tip top shape. The largest factor to a poor immune system is sugar, so lay your kiddos off the sweet snacks. If you or you child are ingesting glyphosate, you are harming your immune system. Go organic, it's the bet way to guarantee glyphosate-free foods!

How To Cope At Home

The pros of homeschooling is that you can school your children for shorter periods of time. They can get more work done in less time, so that gives them more time to be creative! Personal interaction with parents creates strong ties. The cons of homeschooling could be problematic if the child d0es not want to stay at home. Bernadette says that letting your child rest to the circadian rhythm (As well as yourself!) Extra sleep equals happy and healthier kids. If you're taking on homeschooling separately from school, have a schedule and stick to it as much as you can! Make homeschooling fun! Use this opportunity to be with your kids like you have not been able to do before.Bernadette asks Zen for some tips to stay sane during COVID. Spend time on one day of the week where everyone in the family can speak their mind and reflect upon the week. Adopt a pet! Go outside! Pets share their microbiomes with their owners! Don't fret if your dog licks your popsicle. The exposure to different microbiomes can strengthen you and your Childs immune system! Make Art! Your children will remember the time you took out of your busy day to spend time with them, so make it count.

Glyphosate

Zen got an email from an unnamed manufacturer about her avid repulsion against glyphosate. Glyphosate is sprayed on everything! Be sure to always look at the clean fifteen and the dirty dozen, so keep that list handy! To be sure to always steer clear of foods riddled with glyphosate and antibiotics, always buy organic. We have to clean up the earth, and it starts with chemicals like glyphosate.Bernadette is being bold, and asking a heated question. What does The Moms Across America think about the flu shot? The flu shot contains aluminum, sugar, gelatin from pig bones, mercury, and more. The 2020 pentagon study shows that the flu shot increases your chances of getting COVID-19 by 30 percent. The flu virus mutates rapidly, as does the COVID virus. We, as Americans need to know facts! Do your research before putting anything into your body, especially vaccines.

Von Eaglin

Von Eaglin is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and works with two group practices in the Dallas area. He is a certified couple relationship trainer and sees a wide range of clients addressing men's issues, anger management, abuse, and addiction; just to name a few. He is also a doctoral candidate at the University of North Texas in the Counseling and Higher Education Department. His Ph.D. research focuses on on couple relationships dialogue.

Do You Have Intelligent Inner Dialogue?

Von is doing great today! trying to match Bernadette's energy is hard, but Von is trying! Intelligence is your ability to acquire knowledge and skills and then apply those knowledge and skills to adapt to ew situations. You have IQ and EQ. An intelligent inner dialogue is what you are saying to yourself. Is what you're saying to yourself problem solving and positive? It should be! Everyone has an internal monologue. Alarmingly, around 26% of people do not experience internal dialogue. Most importantly, Von says you must take steps too improve your inner dialogue.Inner dialogue can be looked at in Von's profession as a licensed professional councilor. If you have someone with impulse control, you may find that they do not have high intelligent inner dialogue. With his patients, Vo looks at what his patients are saying to themselves first, before they talk about outer relationships. Fun Fact, Von is trained in dream analysis. Bernadette had a horrible dream last night, and had to take time to reflective before being able to go back to sleep. Reach out to Von to schedule a session with him to analyze your dreams. If you have a negative inner voice, write it down and flip the thought!

Manifesting Our Inner Thoughts

Many councilors focus on cognitive behavioral therapy. Cognitive behavior therapy is different thoughts on the same trigger. CBT is a type of psychotherapy in which negative patterns of thought about the self and the world are challenged in order to alter unwanted behavior patterns. In CBT therapy, Von takes his patients and tries to find the deep rooted reason in why certain people react differently to the same situation. Von says that when you say "It's Okay" it's almost like when you have a failure and you say it's okay, you are giving yourself a pass. The most important day is not the day you mess up and say "It's Okay," but the day after when you take charge.
