Family Dinners
Bernadette is obsessed with family dinners. Being raised Catholic, family dinners were pivotal to having a close and connected family. Robin says historically, the family dinner represented unity. In the Jewish tradition, you couldn't even sit down and dine with them if un-forgiveness was in the air. Many cultures have a covenantal meaning behind sitting down to eat. Bernadette says forgiveness is so critical, and is even the essence of the Lord's Prayer. "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.Children learn by what their parents model. Children learn critical thinking and how to debate with others based on observing their parents interactions. In busy families, the only time and place that children can fully interact with their Mother and Father at the same time is at the dinner table! On the reciprocal side, the dinner table is a safe place for children to speak to their parents, so they can talk about all their feelings! Allow your children to ask questions, and ask them deep questions back! Adult conversations at the dinner table fosters growth in child brains.
Eye Contact
During a scientific study, they did an eye to eye study. They found that when breastfeeding, when the mother and child were connected by looking at each other, the thoughts of the mother were being communicated via the eye. You can't hide your anxiety and your stress, your children will absorb it. Looking at your children in the eyes can be good and bad, depending on how you, the parent are feeling emotionally. Looking into the eye is an act of respect, so be sure to make sure to do your research on eye contact when visiting other countries. Robin and Bernadette stress the importance of looking into your child's eyes when feeding them, whether it's the breast or the bottle.Back to the family dinner. Without family dinners or gatherings around food, we can get lonely! When around others, we are energetically charged by the people around us. While zoom is fine, it is the close proximity that we need to fill out heart space. Simply be present to one another. Family dinners create bonds, synchronization, and connections. family dinners replenish the family's soul. Make it a priority!

Going After What You Want
Whatever your goals are, you have to go hunt for it! Whether an athletic event or a new relationship, you must hunt. You deserve what you earn. The most important things that we fight for are the fight for survival! When you get to the top of the mountain, you talk about what was so difficult in getting there. The struggle creates the strength. What do you want what are your goals, now let's create a plan to get you there! Mo says that a survival mentality is the difference between prospering and failing.Everyone is a critic now. Mo sees so many executives and professionals who lack self esteem! We often times put labels on people and assume that they have their life together, but on the inside they don't. First, go hunt for self confidence within yourself. Find happiness within yourself with positive language. Second, define your goals. Third, dial it back and work step by step to get there. Hunt and Prosper. Write goals down and make a timeline. Streamline your progress. Make it numerical if you have to! Map out your day and break it down with 15 minute segments. Set yourself up for success. Expect obstacles and use them to push yourself even harder towards success!
