Happy Wednesday!
It has been a crazy 24 hours, but as the United States Presidential Race final count draws closer, we power through with day three of the Texas Veggie Fair! We have a great show in store for you on Day three of The Texas Veggie Fair On The Air! At the half we have Vegan Chef Troy Gardner talking about Vegan Comfort Food! But first up, we have founder and owner of All Y'alls Foods, Brett Christoffel, so let's get started!
Troy Gardner
Troy Gardner is the head chef and owner of TLC Vegan Kitchen. He has over 20 years of culinary experience including time at Sabor Vegan Academy in Spain. Troy has opened several restaurants in the Dallas area including Samson’s and V-Eats in Trinity Groves.
TLC Vegan Kitchen, Vegan Comfort Food
A ghost kitchen is basically a restaurant without a Front-Of-House seating area for guests! Ghost kitchens have made food more readily available for customers, especially in the midst of a global pandemic. Chef-driven “Tastes Like Chicken” Vegan Kitchen is Chef Troy Gardner’s newest culinary venture & commitment to creating “a better world, one vegan dish at a time.” Troy has a seasoned past of creating jammed packed vegan eateries around Dallas! Chef Troy continues to make comfort food a staple in vegan cuisine, showing us one dish at a time, that plant based eating is easy and attainable!
Brett Christoffel
Brett Christoffel is the founder and CEO of All Y’alls Foods. He founded the company in May of 2018 after learning about the negative impact the beef industry has on animals and the environment. Brett took his plant-based mission a step further by partnering with the Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, a cattle ranch-turned vegan sanctuary with the largest herd of rescued cows in the state of Texas
The Evolution Of Plant Based Meats, All Y'alls Foods
People are usually concerned about protein when turning vegan. Brett says that he sources only the protein rich plants to turn into meat-like snacks! Bacon bits now are either artificial and made of soy and petrochemicals, but Brett's vegan Bacon Bits are starting to take off! It is fairly difficult to create a plant based snack that resembles meat, but All Y'alls Foods has mastered creating the real chew that people desire in beef jerky. Going meatless lets you skip saturated fats and cholesterol plus any hormones, antibiotics, bacteria, parasites, or carcinogens associated with animal proteins.
