Thinking Traps To Avoid When Losing Weight

Give yourself positive self talk. Don't set yourself up for failure if you eat something crappy one day! If your scale isn't budging, stop. You need to be focusing on your muscle to weight ratio. Women measure inches, but the scale may be going down. Stick with it! depending on what you've taken in; water, protein, etc. When your cortisol goes up, your weight does too! Don't weight yourself everyday. Your goal should not be about perfection, it should be about progress.

Plant-Based vs Mediterranean Diet

Fats in our food are made up of fatty acid chains, which consist of carbon and hydrogen atoms linked together. There are two major types of fatty acids that we eat: Saturated and unsaturated. Since dietary fats are a complex topic, we’ll save saturated fats and trans fat (which is technically an unsaturated fat) for another day. For now, let’s focus on unsaturated fats.
