5G Network, Music's Influence on Women, Eating Disorder Awareness #1107

Music's Influence on WomenToday we talk with Dr. Debra Greene about the potential effects of the 5G network. Dr. Mike McFarland talks about music's influence on attitudes toward women, and Dr. Stephanie Setliff talks about eating disorder awareness.

The 5G Network

Dr. Debra Greene, PhD, is a mind-body medicine specialist and frequently quoted expert in the fields of energy medicine and energy psychology. Today she talks about some of the potential effects of the 5G network. We have talked about this in the past with Dr. Gabriel Cousens, a well-known American physician M.D., homeopath, and spiritual writer who practices holistic medicine. The 5G network has rolled out in 40 cities in the United States. The science and description of 5G is explained so well by Dr. Greene today, and some of the statistics will shock you. We have become such a fast-moving society, we don't even have time to wonder what the long-term effects might be. Dr. Debra will be joining us again soon to continue this conversation.

Music's Influence on Attitudes Toward Women

Dr. Mike McFarland joins us today to talk about how music influences our attitudes toward women. Dr. Mike is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, with a private practice in Dallas. Dr. Mike talks about how some of the lyrics in today's pop and rap music is extremely derogatory toward women. This has such an impact on teens and adolescents developing brains, to an extent that we aren't really aware of. Parents have such a responsibility to know what their kids are watching, hearing, and being exposed to. Dr. Mike reads some of the lyrics that are extremely aggressive and objectifying. The problem is that women are going along with it. We are becoming desensitized to it, to the point where women are believing it and even encouraging it. Kids will find a way to hear and see what they want to, but opening the dialogue with them may help them understand the context of these things.

Eating Disorder Awareness

Dr. Stephanie Setliff is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders for over 20 years. Today we talk with Dr. Setliff about eating disorders and what can be the catalyst to someone developing one. There is much more that goes into what makes someone prone to an eating disorder. On top of that, there is so much that goes into treating one.Dr. Setliff talks with us about how to identify an eating disorder, and what the best steps are to take. Someone dies every 62 minutes from an eating disorder. We have to open the dialogue and create a safe zone for those who might be suffering.
