Don't Be a Squisher
Okay, so here's another crazy blog post stay with me now this is a difficult one.I woke up this morning and tended to all of my animals, Nelson was the first one on the list... my new little pitbull (70lbs) that I brought home because no one would give him a permanent home after 5 months of trying. Lexi, our Executive Producer, tried but because she's in an apartment it was short lived. He's the best by the way, one of the most well behaved dogs I've ever had and always ready to listen and love on me with his sweet doggy kisses. Now back to my point, sorry I get diverted easily!I was having my 2nd cup of coffee and perusing through an article "21 Days to Habit Building" Boosting your Bottom Line...when a tiny little Ant appeared at the top of the magazine walking across the edges. I know you're probably thinking well just kill it right? After all, I actually have an ant problem at my house right now because I refuse to use chemicals. They actually sell these little bottle caps things filled with some sort of natural earthy substance that really gets rid of ants, I just need to go and get some. Again, so back to my point. So here's the 21 day habit forming theory… In 1960, Maltz published the influential book "Psyco-Cybernetics" in which he professed that a person's way of thinking and their beliefs could be radically changed in just 21 days. These concepts have been used time and time again in a wide variety of fields because of their applicability to self image and individual success.I know you probably think I'm weird and that's okay, I am.I have such an incredible appreciation for life even little things like an ant. So, as I walked outside with my magazine I watched the little ant scrambling and running all over the magazine trying to figure out what to do and I gently just brushed him off into the bushes. You see everything in life is a habit and you can choose to be kind and thoughtful or you can choose to be the person that squishes the ant. It's all a habit.Don't be an ant squisher.-Bern
