Dr. Al's Cancer Update
Dr. Alvin Danenberg has been joining us for over a year now to keep us updated on the status of his cancer. He was diagnosed with an incurable bone marrow cancer in September 2018, and was given 3-6 months to live. He decided to forgo chemotherapy and go strictly the alternative route. Today he is feeling better than he has in a long time, and his lab results are showing improvement as well. To his oncologist, this is a medical miracle. Dr. Al has just recently started doing immunotherapy, which is an IV treatment that works to strengthen the immune system.Listen in to hear what Dr. Al has to say about his current state of health, and what he foresees in the future. Von Eaglin - Managing Holiday Depression
Von Eaglin is a licensed professional counselor who is currently working toward his PhD. Today he chose a timely topic, managing holiday depression. A lot of people identify with the holidays as a time for cheer, get-togethers, happiness and gift-giving. And then, there are those who feel the exact opposite. During the holidays they may go through feelings of loneliness, anxiety, past-trauma's may resurface, and so on.Von talks about how holiday depression is a very real and common thing, and there are steps you can take to manage this. Some of the things we like to incorporate to fight things like stress, anxiety, and depression are eating well, staying hydrated, and exercising regularly.
