Dr. David Young offers up some great advice on how we can be less reactive to our negative feelings. It's so important to practice noticing how we feel throughout the day. We can learn to accept how we're feeling, good or bad. And, we learn how to recognize negative feelings and make peace with them in a constructive manner. These practices can keep us from lashing out when we're upset. Feelings are our friends, negative and positive! Dr. Young is a clinical psychologist at UT Southwestern and the co-founder of Dallas Therapy Alliance.
Von Eaglin talks about how we've become a society of "specialness". We are all individuals with special talents and gifts. But, believing that we are more special or better than other people is a common problem. We are all human beings in this world and we all have different personalities. Learning that we are just like the next person is a challenge. We should stop comparing ourselves to others but focus on our own growth and goals. Learn more about Von here.
