Chris Gronkowski and Jessica Mazzucco

Founder of IceShaker and Gronkowski Brother, Chris Gronkowski brother is here to discuss Family and Fitnesss! Jessica Mazzucco is here to talk about how to workout from home on a budget!

Chris Gronkowski

Founder of IceShaker

Chris Gronkowski is the owner and inventor of the Ice Shaker,  vacuum insulated bottles that hold ice for over 30 hours. He first made a career for himself as a professional football player, joining the NFL in 2010 after being signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a fullback. During his years in the NFL, Gronkowski also played for the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. Now, with the help of his four brothers, Chris Gronkowski puts all of his energy into running Ice Shaker, continuously updating the product line while improving the experience of protein shakers everywhere.

Family & Fitness

Chris has very young kids, but he still incentivizes them to get moving! Between his boy and his girl, they both play “catch the ball” and he gives them a treat afterwards! Also, Chris works out around kids and they have started mimicking him when he works out. Children mimic what others do. And it’s not just what they see from their mom and dad. Teachers, coaches, family and friends all are influencers. If you have children, think about who they spend most of their time with. Those are the people having the biggest impact on the choices your kids make. As a family, Chris was lucky enough to have family vacations annually. The Gronkowski’s Father made everything a competition, but in a healthy way.

The biggest way is to show your child how to move their bodies. Do it in front of them! Chris says his kids jump off the couch when they see him moving and have fun. Children’s eating habits are a toss up for Chris. But, eating back then is different now. The GMO’s and artificial foods are much different 30 years ago than they are now in 2021. Bernadette says she has to guide to her children to encourage them to eat healthy snacks. Let’s not forget about the importance of the hime cooked meal! Chris’s mother made every meal home cooked. And that really made a difference for him. One of the biggest things that Chris’s parents did for him was make him earn everything that he got. One of the biggest things they did was making them work for things like cars, college, and extras. A lot of kids now a days do not know that kids once had to work for their treats. Entitlement is something that destroys their entire being. Nobody does anything alone, but there is no better feeling that knowing that you are self made.

Home Workouts on a Budget

When Jessica was younger, she didn’t gain the freshman 15, she gained the freshman 40. A friend of hers saw her needing help and she left her prior major and pursued exercise as a living. Exercise is not just for looks or losing weight, it is a way of life. Looking at pictures of yourself as a younger woman or man will not make you feel better, hunny! Adapt your workouts for your age, and own it! Jessica talks about the importance of foam rollers and fitness equipment replicas! There are so many things that can replicate “professional” training items. You can use jugs filled with water (be sure to duct tape the top) and use them as kettlebells!

If you haven’t picked up a jump rope since grade school, you’re in for a surprise. Jump ropes generally cost less than $20 and they deliver a killer cardio workout you can do practically anywhere. Just don’t expect to knock out a 30-minute routine right off the bat – jumping rope is tough work, so use yours for interval training, switching back and forth between a minute of jumping and a minute of rest. But, get this! Try pantyhose! They can replace resistance bands in a pinch!
