Von Eaglin, PhD - Jesus is Just Alright? Ep. 3067

Is religion helpful or harmful to our mental health?

Our guest today, Dr. Von Eaglin, discusses the impact of religion on mental health with Bernadette and Marie. And, how do we differentiate between being religious and being spiritual?

Dr. Von received his Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of North Texas and has been practicing mental health therapy for nearly 20 years.

His research focuses on couple relationship dynamics, and he has previously served as an adjunct faculty member at SMU and UNT. Within his private practice, he specializes in couples, men’s issues, young adults, adolescents, and athletes from youth sports to various professional leagues including the NBA and the NFL.

Dr. Von currently works for the Dallas Mavericks as a mental health consultant on their Wellness Team, serving players and supporting personnel.

He is often a guest speaker on multiple podcasts and facilitates workshops for couples, men, youth, and business organizations.
