Pet Obesity

Pet Obesity

Animal welfare includes a slew of things to do and not do. Maura Davies with the SPCA has been our long time Friday guest. She gives us practical tips and good information on all things animals. Today we talk with her about how obesity in pets can end up in a shorter lifespan. Pets already have shorter lifespans so we have to give them their best lives while we can. That includes walks, good food and treats, and lots and lots of love. Pet obesity ultimately comes down to diet and lifestyle. Pets need exercise, whether it's walks or throwing the ball in the backyard, they need some sort of activity. They also need good food and not human food. Also the right amount of food is super important. Listen in to hear some good animal health and welfare information.
