Today Stacy Sutton Kerby and Christopher J. Miller join us on the air for Furry Friday! Stacy Sutton Kerby shares details on an event for Puppy Mill Awareness Day coming up on September 19th. She as well explains the four animal welfare bills passed during the Texas Legislative Session in Austin, TX last month. Stacy is the Director of Government Relations for the Texas Humane Legislation Network, a nonprofit promoting the humane treatment of animals through legislation, education, and advocacy. Previously, Stacy co-hosted a podcast about animal welfare issues and worked with local agencies to launch Safekeeping – a program supporting the pets of people exiting domestic violence.
