Addiction can come in all shapes and sizes. When we think of someone who has an addiction, there is usually a negative feeling associated with them. Dr. Jonathan Avery put it so perfectly in today's episode when he says "if someone has cancer, do we associate it when a negative thing that they are struggling with?" The answer is no. We are supportive and we want them to get better no matter how much work, time and money it may take.Addiction is something that has a stigma, and we all need to shift the way we view addiction and treat those struggling.
