Jackie Schlegel is the executive director for Texans for Vaccine Choice - a group that promotes the preservation of personal liberties and informed consent. Texans for Vaccine Choice started as a small Facebook group in 2015 that then took off. Jackie began her journey 18 years ago when her daughter was given her routine vaccines at 4 months old and suffered a severe reaction. Jackie's daughter is 18 years old and is permanently disabled and will require lifelong care, all from the 9 vaccines she was given that day.
