What to do when you don't like your partner?
Today's show covers a number of topics. Dewone Bennett tells us what to do when we don't like our partner, Jill Lane deals with anxiety holistically and Sam Morris compares quarantine to going to rehab. Our first guest Jill Lane talks about how to deal with anxiety through holistic methods. For example, lavender can affect alpha waves in the brain to ease stress and anxiety. Bernadette sites an article stating that lavender has shown to be very effective for GAD (general anxiety disorder). Lane also mentions amino acids found in green tea to help anxiety. Always be sure to talk to your physician before starting any medication, pharmaceutical or holistic, to make sure they don’t interact.Next, we talk to Sam Morris regarding the similarities of rehab and quarantine. As a recovering addict, Morris went to rehab multiple times and is now a certified addiction specialist. He compares rehab to a "break" for both he and his family, similar to this COVID-19 self-quarantine.Lastly, we talk to long-time guest and friend of One Life Radio, Dewone Bennett about what to do if we don't like our partner. Bennett says people who as a child felt like they weren't good enough bring that belief with them into their relationship as an adult. They either overcompensate for their feelings, or don't try at all. This belief can lead to arguing over small things rather than face the real issue. Healthy relationships are formed with people who truly know themselves.
