Stephanie R. Toups is a consumer advocate professional particularly focused on safety in food and personal care products. She became fascinated with the industry when she was diagnosed with a thyroid autoimmune disorder while pregnant with her second child.
Stephanie spent the first half of her career working in an intense and fast paced trading environment, first as a trader and then as an financial and accounting executive managing the back office and risk functions of an electricity trading operation. She has always been fascinated with education and holds
both an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (though she hung up her calculator years ago) and earned a NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) System Operator certification while working within the electricity space. She has owned and operated numerous businesses including a Sunstone Yoga franchise in the Dallas area and currently an oil and gas consulting firm with her husband, Thad. She believes you can accomplish absolutely anything if you put your mind to it.
With three small children, aged 5, 3, and 1, Stephanie is most recently consumed with raising her family in an environment that results in happy kids with healthy bodies and minds. Through her own health journey, she has focused her time and attention on educating others and demanding better from the market makers and providers of products for young families.
