Today we have Diane V Capaldi joining us to talk about biohacking and minimalism and Debbie Campbell talks about the cerebellum and mental health.
The Narrative with V Capaldi
If you did not hear our first show we did with V Capaldi, listen here. There is a sweet surprise featuring her dog, Gidget, and it just so happened it was national dog day…could it be a coincidence? V is known as the PaleoBOSS Lady, and is a well-known TEDx speaker, influencer, and Boss Lady. She dedicates her life to helping others, and that is something we could all do a little more of.
Today we talk about “The Narrative.” This is more than just one thing, and V answers so many questions. We talk about biohacking with minimalism, greed, health and wellness, the BAM Van, and much more. V’s story is absolutely compelling. Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 24, then taking her health into her own hands and now living a life “100% completely in charge and driven by passion.” V Capaldi healed herself of secondary progressive MS using diet and lifestyle alone. This woman is a boss! Don’t miss this episode.
Cerebellum and Mental Health
Debbie Campbell is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has a background in applied sport psychology and positive psychology. Today we talk about the cerebellum. The cerebellum is a small portion of the brain, but contains roughly half of the brains neurons. It coordinates balance, posture, coordination, speech, and learning motor behaviors. So, it serves a huge purpose in your overall brain function.
Debbie talks with us today about how your mental health and the cerebellum are connected. We go into the science of concussions, brain development as babies and children, and current research being done on the brain today. The effects of a traumatic brain injury can be lifelong, so knowing the state of your brain and mental health is so important.
