This conversation is a broad one because there are OVER 250 diagnosable mental illnesses. Wow, that’s a lot. Von Eaglin is a licensed professional counselor whose Ph.D research focuses on couple relationships. He sees a variety of different people everyday who struggle with different issues, addictions, and traumas. He talks with us today about how we can define mental illness (which there is no one central definition,) identify them and get help. We are all a little bit mentally ill, right? Bernadette speaks candidly about growing up with her brother who struggled with schizophrenia. This taught her a lot about not judging others and being open to healing from something so severe like a mental illness. We also take calls during “Bern, on with Von” and answer questions for our listeners.
