Biohacking Experimentation
When trying experimentation, takes one thing at a time. Experimentation is the action or process of trying out new ideas, methods, or activities. New Years is coming up, so people think that they can implement new, healthier things all at once, but you don't know what's doing what to your body! Some things may be counter productive. Take the scientific method approach instead of the shotgun approach. Start one at a time, like in science, "make a hypothesis" and then go from there! Right down your data, just like you would in science and in business. Shawn says it is good at the beginning, but it also totally depends on the person, because sometimes focusing on the data can take you out of the here and now. Find out what works for you, and don't be afraid to switch up your routine!
Mo Brossette
Mo Brossette has been in the health and fitness industry for over 24 years, and he is currently the Director of Mindset and Nutrition at The Adaptive Training Foundation. The Adaptive Training Foundation is a Dallas based non-profit that leads disabled military veterans and civilians through a 9-week mental and physical training program called “Redefine”. Through this unique program, Mo helps these adaptive athletes overcome physical, emotional and mental pain, fear, and self-doubt. He is a corporate speaker on Fear and Human Potential, where he teaches companies and individuals how to achieve professional and personal goals, overcome limiting beliefs, and use fear as your greatest tool for success. You can find Mo here.
Dealing With Holiday Stress
No one can make you feel any way. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Mo Brosettte says to write down what you're grateful for every day! It takes 21 days to form a habit. Instead of turning on the news, or scrolling twitter, what if you wrote down what you were thankful for instead? Your brain starts to associate things that may suck, with gratitude. Set boundaries! If you have a family member that likes to start fights, political or otherwise, just get up and leave the room. Talk about something good, or nothing at all. Nothing good is going to talk about politics at all! Anything that makes you happy, do it.
