Mental Health Around The Holidays
Learn to say no. Don't over stretch yourself or stretch yourself too thin, because you will get burnt out! Reach out to other people when you are feeling stressed, depressed, or anxious. You don't have to go with the flow this year! If you start to feel burnt out, Bonnie says you need to get good sleep! Good sleep is so important! Try and snack wisely and healthy. Avoid excessive alcohol and tobacco. But most importantly, find something that brings you joy. Whether it's petting your dog, taking a walk, or listening to your favorite music, your feelings are important! Make yourself a priority, because if you aren't well, you can not help other people. There is no health without mental health. The MHA Dallas has three different support groups! The MHA Dallas operates on donations, so even if you can give one dollar, you will get back a feeling that you participated in the betterment of the world. MHA Dallas needs volunteers right now, so click here to apply to be a volunteer! Bonnie can find a place for you!

In Dr. Nelson's latest book, "The Emotion Code," Dr. Nelson tackles all things emotion! In The Emotion Code, renowned holistic physician and lecturer Dr. Bradley Nelson skillfully lays bare the inner workings of the subconscious mind. He reveals how emotionally-charged events from your past can still be haunting you in the form of "trapped emotions"; emotional energies that literally inhabit your body. Dr. Nelson explains clearly and concisely how trapped emotions can create pain, malfunction and eventual disease.
