Autumn Connolly - Colloidal Silver, Castor Oil & Chanting
Before we talk with Autumn Connolly, Bernadette opens the show with an article from Consumer Reports Magazine on plastics. The article suggests that we reheat foods on the stove, not in the microwave. And, never use plastic in the microwave. Also drink tap water over store-bought plastic water bottles, and dust and vacuum regularly. One of our all-time favorite One Life Radio guests is back, Autumn Connolly. Today she's talking about colloidal silver, castor oil and the history of chanting. She starts us off with a quote about meditation and then goes into the benefits of colloidal silver, a natural way to lower the body’s bacterial load. It's a natural antibiotic because it's anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory. Colloidal silver is a good topical for cuts and scrapes. You can now find colloidal silver patches for wounds in most natural grocery stores. But, be sure to follow the recommended dose at all times. And, buy only from reputable companies, since it's not a product monitored by the FDA. Connolly also says to make sure you're purchasing colloidal silver and not ionic silver. She tells us the difference in the podcast.Castor oil is making a comeback! Connolly says it has so many benefits and everyone should have some in their cabinet. Castor oil is an anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial oil. It even works to regrow hair. Use it on your eyebrows or eyelashes or make a hair mask to help your hair grow. It’s also good for acne, insect bites, rashes and other skin irritations. Castor oil is mostly known as a laxative, but be careful if you use it for this purpose. A little goes a long way.We discuss the benefits of daily chanting. Connolly says the word chanting comes from sanskrit word meaning “love”. It’s a tool to use when you want to change things in your life. Think of it as the earliest method of “The Law of Attraction”. Hear a live chant on the air. Save and follow along when you're needing a change in your life, or just want to step out of yourself for a minute and relax.
