Dr. Al Danenberg, DDS was an extremely health conscious person...he thought. Then he was diagnosed with a form of multiple myeloma, which is cancer of the bone marrow. He was given 3-6 months to live. Dr. Al decided he wasn't going to go the conventional route and started alternative treatment. The Wonder of Lost Causes is a fiction novel about a dogs love and loyalty to a child struggling with chronic Cystic Fibrosis. The author, Dr. Nick Trout, wrote this book based on his own life story with his daughter. He talks about the struggles of all of this and how a dog in the home helped with some of those adversities.
