What is The Name Work Method?

Lily created The Name Work, a cross pollination of proven psychological modalities, spiritual healing applications, and ancient yoga, following the loss of her daughter Kara, who died at home of SIDS at just two months old in 2011. Following Kara’s passing, Lily was given the choice to either shrink or grow, and she chose to grow, and grow she did. She began writing to help other people. Lily encourages everyone to rub their fingers together right now and try to feel their own heart beat. In this moment, you are okay. Life can suck, but you can allow it not to suck you under. We must make room for all of our feelings.

The Name Work is a method of uncovering the powerful qualities in a name to help move through grief, loss, pain and suffering of all kinds. When you learn to access and fully integrate the qualities found in the name of your choice, you ignite those attributes to light up your life. By attaching a special meaning to names, following breathing and meditative exercises, and daily affirmations, Lily is able to move through the grief process in profound and transformative ways. She can teach all of us to do the same, using the hard earned method she developed and calls The Name Work.

Name work can help with the trauma that comes along with living our lives. Trauma is a part of us, but we need to feel to heal. The name work can help anchor our purpose. We can fake it till we make it. If you tell yourself something over and over, you will come to believe it. Bernadette and Junior work through their names to find the qualities that define them.
