Fasting and Motivation
Most people have motivation, but we often times lose it. We structure things to where our word counts more than how we feel in the moment. The only reason that you get up and work out, or get dinner with a friend, is because it was our word. We do not trust our own enough, and so we don’t believe ourselves anymore. To Dr. Jonny, we have to rehabilitate ourselves to where our word becomes law in the universe.
Dr. Jonny Bowden did a fast for the first time in his life! While most health guru’s have done fasts, Dr. Jonny has never made it through 24 hours of it. But he made it this time! Dr. Jonny has not ever gravitated to a water fast because major organs, especially the liver, need more than just water to detoxify the body. Intermittent fasting is very different from long term fasting. One of the greatest things Dr. Jonny found was how little food we need to feel good. He found that some of his eating habits are habitual, so to experience a 24 hour fast was great for structure. The feeling of being able to do without made him feel empowered.

How To Stay Afloat When You Feel Like You’re Drowning
Tina Bernet Allen has a huge heart and unfortunately has had a very rough couple of weeks. Her beloved dog passed away suddenly last week, and Tina found herself trying to stay afloat mentally and physically. Tina has also recently had a hip replacement, and as we know, emotional life can transpire into physical pain. Months before the hip replacement, Tina broke her fingers, the first bones she’s ever broke in her body. Tina refers to big life changes of seasons of life. Mental and Physical health go hand in hand. Get up and go for a walk! If you find yourself down, like your head is in a black cloud, get up. Even if you take a shower and put on nice clothes, it will shift your mood. It is okay to grieve, but you still have to take care of yourself. If you're a parent, you need to be there for your children.
This is for Farley the Wheaten Terrier. Farley the dog was by Tina and her Families side for years. He was the sweetest boy, and even Bernadette can attest to this having seen him twice a week when she trains with Tina. He would have turned 10 years old in July. He was the sweetest most loving dog and family member anyone could have asked for.
