Von Eaglin - Men and Sex, Kip Watson - Role Modeling Relationships for Your Kids #1091

Men and Sex

Today we talk with Von Eaglin about men and sex...this is interesting and entertaining so don't miss this one. We also talk with Kip Watson about how to role model good relationships for your kids.

Men and Sex

"Your body is a wonderland" - John Mayer. Men and sex, this is a broad topic...and a juicy one. Today Von Eaglin joins us to talk about some of the thoughts, attitudes, and relationships that men have with sex. Men can view sex differently based on their experience as a child - whether or not they were exposed to sex at an early age. This could be either through physical sexual content or early exposure to pornography. Then we go into how pornography can wire men’s brains to only want that type of sexual experience they get from pornography.Von talks about why men can view women as sexual objects, and want power and control in sexual relationships. Sex in relationships varies, and some men don't realize that what worked in one relationship may not work at all in the next. Getting to know a woman slowly and understanding what she wants and desires sexually is the only way to have a mutual and sexually satisfying relationship. Von Eaglin is a licensed professional counselor and a certified couple relationships trainer.

How to Role Model Good Relationships for Your Kids

The way we learn what a relationship looks like is usually by our parents. Nowadays, the divorce rate is so high that it may be a parent and a step-parent relationship. Kip starts the conversation about 6 common tendencies in relationships that people THINK are healthy and normal, but actually can present bad role models for our kids. Showing our children a healthy, respectful, and loving relationship will set the foundation for how they perceive and attract relationships in the future. We only scratch the surface of this conversation, but will continue it next time Kip joins us again. Kip Watson is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor and a sports psychology professional.
