Linda Nguyen - Detecting Lying, Mo Brossette - Managing Stress and Limiting Beliefs #1016
In the movies and books, lying seems to be something you can point out by facial expressions and body language cues. But, Linda Nguyen tells us that's not the case. Linda is a PhD student at UT Dallas and a research assistant at the Center for BrainHealth. She studies how people think and interact with one another. Today she talks with us about implicit bias and detecting if someone is lying to you. We are all liars, statistics show that most people lie every day. The reason we lie...that's a bigger questions and a whole different topic. But how we lie and get away with it apparently comes down to how well you know the person who is lying to you. Lies are most detectable through verbal cues, not body language. Linda talks all about this in today's episode.Mo Brossette joins us again and we just love his energy and message. Mo is an expert on human behavior, mindset, movement and nutrition and today we talk about managing stress. He gives us his 5 steps (one of them is to get your a** kicked by the way) and then he talks about limiting beliefs. Setting goals that are high and achievable can sometimes be difficult. That's why some people set low standard goals. You have to know that you are capable of anything you set your mind to, you just have to have the right mindset and motivation. This is such an empowering and motivational segment, be sure to listen!
